The District Kadhi Sheikh Ramadhan Mulindwa Nsanja Today joined the Luwero District COVID19 TASK FORCE headed by the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Mrs Najjuma Harriet Ssenkoole.
As stakeholders we joined the task force for the Accerelated Mass Vaccination Campaign for Luwero District, Theres a need to mobilize masses.
My submission was first to thank the Ministry of Health, Government for providing the community with vaccines and guidelines for the safety of our communities, Secondly I urged the Task force to use our structures to mobilize our communities through joining District Sponsored talk Shows, It’s a collective responsibility to ensure our communities are safe and vaccinated.
I reminded the Task force that we have numbers and when we speak they listen, therefore they should always bring us on board to disseminate information concerning health and other government programs.
The RDC thanked faith Leaders for the great work done, Sharing messages of hope to people affected by the pandemic, The DHO appreciated the Muslim Faith for championing in vaccinating its people and mobilizing followers to go for their jabs.
Mr Nkonwa DHO thanked Office of the District Kadhi for leading by example and organizing mass vaccination to Followers, All Muslim Leaders at all structures upto Mosques, He pointed out that if all other faiths does the same their work will be eased and no vaccines will be wasted.
Finally, I requested members to address the issue of stigmatizing those affected by the virus also to carry on the messages of Hope during our sermons, gatherings and to spread the right information about the pandemic.
