Today the District Kadhi, District Secretary, District Treasurer, Secretary for Awqaf, Secretary for Halal together with county management of Bamunanika twale headed by county sheikh presented evidence to the Area land committee of Bamunanika sub county on the ownership of Nalweweta land.
The land is found at Bamunanika near the Palace of his Majesty Kabaka Mutebi, The land was given to the Muslim (Mission) Community of Nalweweta – Uganda in 1930’s, The Land houses Nalweweta Umea, a Mosque and 2 Houses for Imaam and his Deputy.
Uganda Muslim Supreme Council has been in charge of this place since 1972 to date and the land is among the Muslim Properties that were managed by the Uganda Muslim Community 1936’s which later on handed all properties that belongs to all Muslims despite of their sects.
The Bamunanika Area pand Committee “tribunal” will make their final resolution’s on the matter on Wednesday next week In sha Allah, The Luwero Muslim District has embarked at recovering Muslims properties from the hands of unscrupulous people disguising as leaders of Muslims in Luwero who have turned these properties under their own groups and disguising as Custodians and trustee’s.

The District Kadhi has explained to the Mayor and his Technical team about the vaccum we have had in his area where animals have been slaughtered without the inspection of District Halal Secretary and County Halal officer.
We have resolved with the Leadership of the Town Council to streamline the Slaughtering process and other Halal activities in the Busiika Town Council.
Uganda Muslim Supreme council Halal department is the responsible body for inspecting AREAS of Slaughter houses and staff to ascertain compliance with the Islamic Law regarding the slaughter of animals and birds for public consumption.
In the meeting was the Mayor Busiika Town Council Mr Nyombi Richard, Town Clerk Busiika Town Council Mrs Lydia Bukenya, Busiika Health Officer Mr Kakooza Alex (Najib) and On the Side of Kalagala Muslim County were County Sheikh Rashid Mwesige, County Secretary, County Secretary for Halal Mr Muhammad Kafuluma, Secretary for Daawah.
