Today we have installed the School Management Committee for Wobulenzi UMEA Kigulu.
Today We have officially witnessed the swearing in of the new SMC of Wobulenzi UMEA at Kigulu.
The District Kadhi’s office together with Luwero Muslim District Education Board we have embarked on strengthening the smooth running of our Schools in Luwero and we have tasked the Education Department together with the Board to ensure that all Muslim founded Schools have committed, competent and able SMC members.
We have sensitized the new School Managers, To put their Sects differences aside when they come to matters of general Muslims, We asked them to always follow the Schools, Vision and Missions.
We also tasked them to Excel in Academics by empowering Teachers and motivating them, Be accountable and ensuring that there’s Mulla’s in our School, Islamic text Books, physical developments.
As Foundation Body we commited ourselves to render necessary support to ensure that Wobulenzi UMEA and other Muslim founded Schools shines throughout,
We have inducted the SMC about their Roles which are as Follows:
1) Management of the School and it’s resources (Okuddukanya, Okulondoola, Okutambuza, Okutegeka byonna ebikolebwa ku ssomero).
2) Control the Expenditures at School through streamlining The Collection of school dues by putting a School Bursar, Opening SMC account, Allocate funds to various School committee’s such as Academics, welfare, Development, Finance, Displinary, Sports among others.
3) Ensuring that Theology Studies is given priority in order to raise God fearing Children and The Leaders of Tomorrow.
We asked the SMC To always work hand in hand with the Headteacher, seek guidance on matters they don’t know, strengthening community involvement to ensure that the number of learners increases, shaping the School’s future by developing self and working with others to achieve all the above.
The Induction was attended by District Secretary for Education Mr Abdallah Jumah Faris, Mr Ishaq Kasoma – Asst Secretary for Education, Mr. Nkonge Sultan the Chairman Education Committee – East Buganda Muslim Region, And Mr Kasajja Patrick (AKA JUMAH) from Luwero District Education Department – Representing the District Inspector of Schools.
