On 02/10/2021 Luweero Muslim District has held a successful meeting about Covid19 pandemic with a Theme ”Covid19 Imaam’s Training” After the opening of Worship places the office of the District Kadhi organized a sensitization program against the pandemic.
190 Imaams of Luwero Muslim District and 10 county Sheikhs attended the training, County Sheikhs were tasked to make arrangements at their respective counties to ensure that all lower structures participate in the UMSC Constitution Review and they should submit their views to the District.
The District Kadhi distributed Islamic books ? In Arabic and English, These text books Islamic include Religious studies, Mother Care, Fiqhu jurisprudence, Tarekhe Al Islamia (Islamic History), Sirat Annabawiyya (Prophet Mohammed S.A.W biography), Chains of Prophets, QUR’AN and many other types of books.
The district Kadhi cautioned Imaams to read these books, Spread Daawah and ensure that they keep SOP’s and guidelines put in place by Government, Ministry of Health and those put in place by UMSC.
Imaams welcomed the Idea of starting up a SACCO in the names of Luwero Muslim District IMAAM’s & DUAT’s Sacco, The idea was brought up by the District Kadhi and a team of 25 Imaams will be nominated to manage the Sacco. This Sacco shall help Imaams in Halal saving and develop themselves for better.
Lastly Both the District Kadhi and District Amir Sheikh Ishaq Ssenfuma Mujaasi emphasized Imaams to stick to Unity, Preach Love instead of Hatred, Go for Government programs such as Parish Model Development Programs, Support UMSC programs including the newly established BILAL TELEVISION by the wise Leadership of His Eminence the Mufti of Uganda.
Among the people who attended were Sheikh Muluuli Habib Musa Kikabi The District Kadhi Nakasongola, District Amir Shk Ishaq Ssenfuma, Luwero Muslim District Management Committee Secretaries, County Sheikhs, Division Amirs and Imaams from 10 Counties that forms Luwero Muslim District.
